Fitting Free Pistol Grips

I have a Morini84E and the "wings" that support the back of the palm are too tight. I have thick palms. Is the best way to take stock off the grip surface or the underside of the "wings".
Thanks Gort

Gort,

Is your grip the non-adjustable full wrap-around type? If it does have an adjustable palm shelf, then moving that would also affect the fit in the area you are concerned with.

In any case, if you want to remove material as you stated above, it is a great opportunity to fine tune the rake angle. If you want more rake angle, you would remove material from the top (wings), and if you want less rake angle, you would remove from the body of the grip.

Take off material where you feel the most pressure against.
The entire grip shoul fit to your hand comfortably. You could use fine sandpaper or a dremel tool with caution.

It does not matter where you remove as long as you do not cut so much into the grip. Otherwise it will be better to get a diferent size.
