Question re velocity adjustment of Steyr LG110

After years of informal target shooting, both AG and small bore, I have developed an interest in both 10m AG and FT. My question is whether there is a high end rifle out there that can be adjusted for the different velocities required. For example the Steyr LG110 and the FT version appear to be very similar, at least on the outside. Is it possible to get the 10m version and have it modified so that one can use the same gun in both shooting disciplines?
Thanks

One gun, 2 disciplines

Hi
Be careful on this idea. The Steyr LG110 10m match air rifle has an Anschutz barrel specifically designed for the 10m discipline at velocities around 175 mps.
Steyr found that the 10m Anschutz barrel was not suitable for field target so another make was fitted which is designed for the higher velocities needed in field target.
The bottom line is, don't try and do 2 different disciplines with a rifle that is designed only for one.
Check this out with Pilkguns.

don't worry too much about the barrels.
If you have the 6J or 16J version they are essentially the same with the reg set to work at 80 bars and you can easily adjust the striker to vary velocities between 450 and 900 fps with a 8gr pellet.
The 24J versions have the reg set slightly higher [110bar] and often cannot be turned down to less than 8J

The Pressure regulator and the hammer spring is diffrent in the two models.....specifically, the cup springs inside the regulator are stronger and the hammer spring is heavier in the 24J FT model. The mainspring cap is also different. Conceivably you could buy these parts and interchange them but you have good advice from Peepsight, its not a good idea. It involves a fairly major strip-down to do the change and you would have to re-adjust everything each time you did a changeover.
