Anybody know where I can find some grips for the Ruger Mark Three? Nobody seems to make a grip for it because it's so new or something. Plenty of Mark 2 grips, but they won't fit the Mark Three.
I think Midway sells some Vitarbo grips. I don't know much about those. They seem to be the only choice.

Chops - the MK III is somewhat new, but I suspect you'll find that you'll have difficulty finding aftermarket grips for this pistol for quite some time. Frankly, the Ruger is a very basic design in terms of grip/frame shape. This makes it very easy to make your own grips. Start first with some softwood slabs and then once you've got the softwood grips whittled to shape you can move to hardwood and make the 'final' grips. I've done this a couple of times with MK I and MK II's, and they're actually harder to fit than the MK III. If I can do it anybody can! ;-)
Re: Ruger Mark Three Grips
The only ones that I've seen are the Volquartsen grips (scroll to the bottom on the link below). However, I'm assuming that you're looking for the 'real thing'.Chops wrote:Anybody know where I can find some grips for the Ruger Mark Three? As an alternative, Maybe you could talk Steve into making a custom set for you.

Ruger Mk III Grips
Mr. Fung will make you a set, since the only modification is to cut the space for the magazine release.

MKII grips on a MKIII
Virtually any MKII grip will fitt the MKIII if you get out your Dremel and cut a relief clearance on the underside of the left hand grip for the screw head that holds the magazine release button in place. You may have to cut a slight relief for the release button itself at the front of the grip depending on how big the grip is.
