These guns and RIKA units are from Mickey Brondum's junior club in New Orleans. All his pistols are still in a safe full of water because the tumblers are too rusted to open.
We are trying to salvage and re-build what we can

Pilkguns,
I have met Mickey Brondum last year when he ran a pistol coaches'course here in Louisville Ky. I am glad he is safe from the hurricane but, am saddened by the loss of his equipment. I will purchase an IZH-46 from you to give to him to help rebuild his program and challenge anyone else to do the same with either a gun or equipment. I will call you later today to give you the credit card info!

Wow-thank you from Mickey and thank you from me for showing what this sport is about.
For those who don't know, Mickey ran one of the better junior programs in the nation for many years, and lost his house and everything from Katrina. He is living in a hotel in Mississippi still. Buck and I are doing what we can to repair these guns at a low a cost as possible. The bores are going to be the tricky thing, I am not sure how well they will shoot over the rust pits, even after they are polished out. Funny, all his Daisy 853 barrels were fine, from all the oil those things spit out.

To All,
Just wanted to let you know that after talking to Scott, I bought a tau-7 to donate to Mickey's program since he has a tendency to have a lot of younger junior shooters and the Tau fits their hands better. Hope this gets the ball rolling for others to make a donation too!

Scott:
Would it be possible to set up a fund or something? I'd like to do what I can as well. Maybe a fund to pay for repairs . . . parts labor etc?
(note: even in the face of his personal tragedy, Mickey is already running matches at his new (temporary) location!)

Steve,
I thought the same. How about something like a paypal account (or similar) that can easily be 'added to' by us folks from other corners of the world ?
Rob.

Or even an account we can send a check to?
I can't afford to buy them a new gun but I sure would like to help out.
