lp 50 trigger weight adjustment

I recently traded in my lp10 for a lp50 since I wanted to try some multishot drills for AP.
The first thing that I found was that the trigger was really not as crisp on the lp50 as the lp10. No big deal I say since I was expecting a repeater to have a more of a rolling release.
the second that was that the first stage seemed to be too light with most of the trigger weight on the second stage. So I dug up the manual and was a bit surprised that there was only mention of one screw for trigger weight. I've gone thru the manual a few times but there seems to be no adjustment to independently change the ratio of the trigger weights on the first and second stage.
I fiddled around ( actually had to give it about 2 complete turns before it started making any differance ) with the screw mentioned in the manual and that seems to adjust the first stage. Am I missing something really obvious or is the second stage weight not adjustable ?
