Fiocchi brass ...

Post by WSmith »

Considering all the cost effective Fiocchi center fire ammunition sold - both .32 S&W Long and .38 Special - I can't seem to recall many reloaders mentioning reusing the brass cases.

Has anyone had any experiences, either good or bad, with reloading the Fiocchi/G.F.L. brass?

.38 cases

I have been using GFL cases for a number of years now in .38 special with reloads lasting into the 15-18th reload before small neck splits appear.

When I was reloading .32, Lapua was the best and GFL / Geco nearly as good. Magtech (CBC) was only good for a few reloads but considering the low purchase cost of the factory ammunition, this is understandable. I would certainly expect 10 quality reloads. Best results are obtained from marking the bases of the brass with a coloured permanent marker for owner identification and keeping the brass in batches. Hope this helps.
