Yesterday's South China Morning Post

In the national day section of Hong Kong's South China Morning Post is a half page on the olympics.
Entitled:
"Chinese athletes plan to dethrone US at 2008 games"
hmmmmmm....... Americans!.... we're NOT going to let that happen, are we?
it includes the paragraph:
"China's medal haul in Athens was unexpectedly bolstered by the 4 golds it took in shooting, but the pundits are not sure of a repeat performance, saying it is difficult to predict who will emerge on top in this discipline"
Ooooo...K...... lets make it even MORE difficult for those chinese pundits to predict....
elsewhere in the paper, I gasped when a familiar name popped out at me in a sports page article about chinese athletes failing drug tests.... looks like they have (until now) a long-jumper with a name spelled the same (in english anyway) as one of their best pistol shooters.
Shoot good
Poole
(Hong kong, again, for the 5th time this trip....)
