i was just wondering is there any issf rule that any shooter participating in rifle events in one competition(under issf ruling)cannot take part in pistol events in that very competition? could somebody knowing about this kindly answer my query?

I can't find any ISSF rule, but I presume nothing stands in the way of the match organizers from declaring so, especially if they are taking charge of the squadding. You don't want to create a situation where a shooter is supposed to be in two places (rifle and pistol) at the same time. In practice, virtually everybody I see avoids shooting pistol AND rifle in the same match. It makes for an awful lot of shooting and I think folks choose, in general, to pace themselves and do one event as best as they can, instead of tiring themselves out and doing two poorly.

I have competed in air pistol and air rifle at the Canadian Grand Prix with absolutely no problems.

There isn't a 'rule' to prohibit multiple disciplines - if one was proficient enough to compete in all the ISSF events then that would be possible - squadding would be the only issue.

There is no such rule as far as I know.

I assume you want to shoot rifle and pistol at the forthcoming pre-nationals (GVM)? If so, you can. I have and time permitting, I will be shooting Standard Pistol and 50 metre prone open sight this year.

This 'rule' is normally brought in by clubs because they want their shooters to concentrate on either rifle, pistol or shotgun events.
