FWB 65 vs IZH46
I'm new to this. I'm not quite ready to spend the money for a Steyr or FWB compressed air gun. I know the FWB65 was one of the target pistol standards for quite a while, but I'm not seeing much discussion about it now. Is the IZH46 a "better" gun? Any comments and observations appreciated!
The FWB has greater adjustability, better grips, an anti-recoil action and a better finish. I used the FWB 65 extensively in high school and beat several folks shooting CO2 guns with it. It's a very good gun.
But that said, I prefer the Izh. To me, it felt lighter, and since I was happy with the feel of the trigger as it was, the lack of adjustability didn't bother me.
The Izh also feels better balanced for me. Besides, the $250 saved can buy new grips or a lot of grip putty to customize the existing grips.
