Sorry, but if the price is close to something well liked (loved) such as a Pardini SP 22 - then I suspect that few will buy the Russian gun simply because it's Russian. It may be the equal or superior to the Pardini - but it will still have that Russian low budget taint.

If you think so - good for the rest of us, as there won't be any delivery shortages... btw, and not to offend anybody, but what was the last top grade target pistol made in the US?

If I was to write a list of all of the factors influencing my decision of which gun to buy, where it was made would not appear.

I too don't believe country of manufacture would even be a factor. I would buy the test tool for job wherever it comes from.

Let's hope the Russians use better material than used in the IZH 35.

Who will import it into New Zealand? There is a number of folk here who would love a new IZH: I'd guess they'd settle for one of these, however.

For shooters, who want to learn to shot now (or even - yesterday) - the easiest way is to begin to save now... 100usd/month. After 24 months you had 2400... Exactly enough Feinwerkbau or Pardini... while SP08 will not be ready...

I would buy it... even for 1600 euro. But i am realist... and time goes. It is only possible, if licenced production will be realised... somewhere out of russia.

p.s.: No. It's not a "black PR"... i have TOZ35... and i am ultra happy.

But since it is for sport+free pistols, I guess that the TOZ-35 is a big part of the 17% of Khaidurof (same for Morini, the CM84E is probably a big part of the 24% of Morini) and here it is about a new sport pistol. Now for sport, you could add the 6% of FWB.

I cannot confirm this fact... (the same TOZ rapid fire... uknown for me). But source of information was one of issf office top-worker.

I think that some pistols were so modified, that it was immposible definitely identify them.

I think you will find that it is actually an ISSF symbol "Say No To Doping". I don't think there are many sports who more actively support, promote and enforce the WADA code.

Miss Chen Ying shots pretty nice with her DF5.

Ruig is the Dong Feng 5 a Chinese modified Margolin MC2, I believe they came in .22 shorts and longs.

The same company that can deliver multiple warheads into US cities via space from another continent can surely deliver a .22 into the ten ring from 25 meters :)

Just for comparison purposes with the SP-08 posted previously, I have uploaded an IJ35 that was obtained from Germany, and manufactured in c.2002.

The images say it all - note the new feature of a lock open slide mechanism on the right side of the frame down the magazine well.
