Just FWIW, I can't see anything wrong with the chamber, but I have noticed a pattern of scratches on each fired case -- including one corresponding with the firing pin -- so that seems the most likely culprit. I will order the Brownell's tool (thanks Fred!) and update with results.

Mine wont eject at all now. the chamber is fine. It is something to do with the ejector as instead of snaping open as it should it does it gradualy as u open the block

Tool arrived yesterday. The tool head is too big to fit through the hole in the grips; you have to unscrew it, insert it into the chamber, and thread the rod back into it through the hole in the grips. After use, a pair of needle nose pliers are needed to loosen the tool head in the loading port.
Extraction is easier now, and most of the obvious scratches on the ejected cases have disappeared. The cases still don't fly clear of the pistol, though. It's just much easier to pick them out with a fingernail now, so I guess it was a worthwhile $25.
