I don't suppose it's an Olympic event yet - but I understand there is now an ISSF-sponsored rapid fire event for air pistol?
I'm having a lot of fun shooting my Beeman P3 in the back yard. This is keeping me busy right now, I'm shooting cards in the 25 / 50 to 37 / 50 range.
Just thinking about the future!

The ISSF have 2 events specifically for 5-shot air pistols, the Air Pistol Standard event and the Air Pistol 5 Target event.
The first is shot on a single normal Air Pistol target and the second is shot on a bank of 5 falling plates. Both are shot at 10m.
Can I suggest you read the section 8.20 rules for these events
