WALTHER SSP OR PARDINI SP NEW?

Hey there guys,

Need some advice on which to choose from?

I Narrowed down my selection to these two

Personally like the look of the Walther more.

THIS WILL BE MY FIRST PISTOL, AND I'M JUST WORRIED THAT I MIGHT GET DISSAPOINTED IN CHOOSING THE WRONG ONE

Look through the past posts on this very topic and that will give a less emmotive, and unhelpful, response. I bought, and am very happy with the pardini. It has a bettter reputation and in greater use by world class athletes than the walther.

But as with every gun, try them both out or at the very least hold them and see which model is best for you. Also consider the ease of after sales support locally as it's no good having a great gun that will be out of action for months if it should develop a fault.

How do judge the trigger and trigger adjustements of the Pardini, what type do you have: SP new, SP1 with electronic trigger...) ?

I'd like to introduce a motion to make that "Search" button up there 10 times it's current size and blinking in neon colours...

I've never seen the Walther, but the SP's are very popular around here, I've seen quite a few and none of them are for sale (including mine).

My SP is 6 or 7 years old, and the trigger adjustments are very stable. I had no trouble setting up the gun as I wanted. I use a dot, but also shoot a Pardini K2 air pistol with the same iron sights and I like them very much. They seem very repeatable and don't require a screw driver.

I doubt you'd be sorry with either. The Pardini isn't quite as pretty as some of the fancy guns, but it's a gun with a single minded purpose and as a work horse target pistol it's perfect.

P.S. I do think the Walther is way cool, but where I shoot the Pardini's have a solid history of proven performance.

A friend has an sp new and an expert, 2 very capable guns and he shoots the Pardini

As I wrote in another post, I have tried the GSP expert and was quite disappointed by its trigger with a rubber like feeling instead of something crisp.

I read also that many people found the trigger od the SSP disapointing too.

Besides that, when looking at an exploded view and at the working of the SSP (and also MG2) I found it very complicated what makes it difficult to adjust and dismount for cleaning and also, I am afraid, prone to fail.

Are you going to shoot NRA or ISSF events? Homer himself told me, at Camp Perry, if you're an NRA shooter you won't like the SSP.
