I've been using "Carter's Fouling Preventative & Compensator Spray for years in the breach/chamber of my pistols and it makes cleaning very easy. However, I can't remeber where I got it and the name of the company is "Tombstone" and the phone number is no longer valid. Does anybody know of this stuff or a reasonable substitute?

Re: fouling preventative and compensator spray
Here's the result of a Google search. Looks like good stuff, but I have no idea where you might buy more.elliott wrote:I've been using "Carter's Fouling Preventative & Compensator Spray for years in the breach/chamber of my pistols and it makes cleaning very easy. You might try using EEZOX (http://www.eezox.com/)
Elliott,
I've had a bottle of that for years also, but I just assumed it was only for revolvers, which I don't shoot often. It never occurred to me to try it on a semi-auto. How do you use it? Do you just spray some into the chamber?
Anyway, I don't remember for sure where I bought it, but I think it might have been Cheaper Than Dirt. Does that ring a bell?
Regards,
Fred

compensator spray
Fred,
I use it on my automatics just by spraying it into the breech. On my free pistol, a wet a Q-tip and rub it around in the chamber and breech face.
I haven't had any problems with the electronics on the Morini free pistol and it cleans up nicely with a bore snake that from which I removed the bronze brush.
