Leaking Air Pistol

Hi Everyone,
I've just noticed that my Pardini K2S has started to leak down when stored with a charged cylinder, I'm losing 20 or 30 BAR overnight. Otherwise, it shoots fine. It's definitely the pistol, the cylinders hold air just fine off the pistol.

I'm trying to decide if I need to have it serviced soon, or if I can wait until it's convenient. Does anyone else's pistol leak with the cylinder attached? I can store with the cylinder unscrewed, but if it's going to blow a seal soon I need to get it fixed before the winter match season starts.

Any advice greatly appreciated,

I do not know the pardini k2s, but on most AP there is an O ring to seal the connexion between the pistol and the cylinder. Since the cylinder is often removed and remounted on the pistol, this O ring must be regularly replaced.

If there is no leak when the cylinder is not attached to the pistol, there is a great chance that replacing this O ring will solve the problem.

I had a similar problem with a new-in-box LP50 from our host. After confirming that it wasn't the cylinder itself (it held pressure indefinitely when not attached to the pistol) I sent it back to get the regulator (if I recall) replaced.

BTW - if anyone is interested in a little-used LP50, drop me a note. I seldom if ever shoot it, and the funds could go to something equally impractical.

I agree but...
If I screw on the air cylinder and then remove it, in a minute or two I can hear the main valve pop when the air leaks down. Now, I don't know if the air should not leak backwards past the regulator, but I thought it would hold a single charge for a while (I'm not sure). I read about a trick I'm going to try. cock the gun with the cylinder attached and no pellet, and put a balloon over the barrel. If the main valve seal is leaking, the balloon will inflate. If it's the external seal, I'll just replace it but if it's an internal one, that's a little harder (unless someone has the procedure for replacing the internal seals, I'll try it if it's not too hard).
