You only need a Scatt sensor if you have the rest of the Scatt Electronic Trainer system to go with it.xeye wrote:...and do I want one?
If you want to see where the barrel is pointing during the last few seconds before a shot, and the second or two afterwards, then yes you want one (or one of the other ETs). You will also get some fairly clever software that will give you comparative figures to allow you to gauge improvement.
A search for "electronic trainer" in old posts should provide some interesting discussions.
As David said it is great to see just what you are doing. The computer does not lie...I think :-) You can see on the trace what you can't see over the sights. For me using the Rika it was very elightening.
One thing however is the weight of the device that is attached to the gun. For an AR the weight of the device is negligible. However for an AP, the weight of the device makes a significant difference and will probably affect your hold. To compensate for the weight of the device, I remove the co2 cylinder from my CPM-1.
