Measuring the hand for grip size?

Post by Ken Mealing »

Is this best done with a tape measure which follows the contour of the back of the hand, or with something rigid, like a ruler, balanced on the middle knuckles?

Different methods result in different measurements.

Would appreciate some advice.

Happy Christmas, by the way.

Check out Rink's website , it gives you a regimen for measurement . I think I would go with a tapemeasure - hands not being ridgid . Other makers prolly have instructions .

When I had Arnie Viturbo make me a set of grips several years ago, As he requested, I scanned(Xeroxed) my outstretched palm, and sent it to him. Another method, was to trace the outline. If I remember, the thumb and index(trigger) finger were spread out, and the others kept together.
