Powder slide for 550B

Post by Reinhamre »

Hi,

If you have problems loading small charges, this custom made slide makes a difference.
Can anyone persuade Dillon to make a slide that will drop a SMALL amount of powder. Yes, I know, they are selling one already. Do not buy it!

Next I will add a stop screw from the side that locks the screw from moving.

As long as you are thinking of making a stop screw---consider also, removing the left hand side, radius of the body. If you want to send charges of 1.3 grains or less the radiused left end will make life very difficult. Additionally there is a micrometer adjustment screw to replace the regular charge adjustment screw on the right side of the bar. I did both "fixes" and I can dial in charges < 1.0 grains, without going nuts.
