I've recently come into posession of an FP-10, shot it at the Canadian Nationals where my first experience with the troubles associated with it happened. All I have to do now is set in on the bench with to much force and it discharges. In talking with some of my esteemed and more experianced collegues, I have learned that there is an elusive "3rd Gen" trigger group with a bearing in one spot instead of a pin which relieves this problem. If anyone is in possession of one of these assemblies and would be willing to part with it for a fair price, please PM me. Other than the trigger issues I really enjoy shooting this pistol and would like to continue to do so! Thanks,
Jesse

Jesse - check your PM's. Sorry to hear this is giving you grief. I believe you were part of a lengthy discussion on this topic (following disassembly of your pistol at the Nats). You may want to try Jocelyn Langlois and see if he can work his magic with Hammerli, but I wouldn't set my hopes too high since previous similar attempts resulted in denial by Hammerli of any kind of trigger problem with the FP10.
Didn't you get a spare "gen 2" trigger with yours? If so, this might work for another while for you. Also, not sure if I remember the geometry correctly, but you might be able to squeek a little more reliability out of it by turning it into a single-stage trigger. Not sure about this tho...

Hi Flyboy
I have a 3rd gen FP10 trigger group running on bearings [not pins] that I received from Hammerli about 2 years ago.
I never fitted it to the FP10 since I sold it before I received the trigger group and the new owner emigrated.
I paid CHF420 plus transport and taxes...around USD490
You can have it for USD250
I can take pics of the trigger and the invoice from Hammerli if you are interested
regards
