Morini grips S&W Model 41 Fit?

Anyone know why the screws for the Morini Grips don't fit through the gun frame?They really don't want you to drill the frame a fraction!Ron

With the Model 41 the threads are English---with the Morini grips the threads (if provided would be metric ?). Additionally if you are trying to use the Model 41 screws you probably need longer screws---if I am reading you correctly.

To put Morinis on my 41 I scrounged up new screws from a supply house and fresh nuts from Herrett.
