Taking grips off Morini with electronic trigger ?

I have a Morini CM 162 EI , I would like to do a bit of work on the grips . Is removing the grips dificult . I dont want to ground out or damage the electronics . Anything I should be carefull of ?

You will need to remove the electronics board to remove the grips, in the same way as you remove it to change the batteries.

Chris,
As I understand it the wood is fairly thin in places so just be aware of that when working with a dremmel or such like.

Some of the circuit boards are tight in the grip.
To take off the grip it may be easier to undo the two grip screws first and remove the grip from the frame (complete with circuit board) gently pulling slightly down and rearward.
Then the circuit board can be removed easier from the grip after taking off the cover.
To install, put grip on first and install the grip screws (do not over tighten the grip screws). Then insert the circuit board and install cover.

Check the lenght of the center screw - if it's too long, the hole in the grip drilled too deep or you tighten it too much, you might put pressure on the connector, which doesn't do it any good. Check that connector anyway, I've seen (and own) Morinis where they threaded that screw right through the baseplate into the jack - talk about loose connections...
