hello all, after taking the past 4 years off from air pistol shooting, i want to get back into it.
currently, i shoot an older SAM K-11, and I really like it. i used to shoot in a few postal matches, and some on line stuff, but I have lost all the contact info for that.
what's new in the sport, which postal or on-line matches are avaiable? i have yet to hear of any air pistol shooting here in vegas, and the drive to CA is not reasonable at this time.
so, please lemme know what's up.
thanks.
s.

Welcome Back!
First thing you might want to do is subscribe to Shooting Sports USA (the NRA match bulletins) and USA Shooting (the USAS publication). Most "registered" type matches will show up in those publications.
Chacking my copies, I see (in Nevada):
NRA: Nothing for Air Pistol
USAS: Matches in Phoenix AZ, CA, and UT
Looks like postals and or travel are in the foreseeable future.
Have you thought about holding your own matches?

i've thought about it
but i'm the director of a rimfire BR match and rimfire silhouette already at our local club, so i'm not real excited about starting a third match.
i'm gonna start asking around to see if i can get someone to run it, but let them know that i will be there to shoot and support their effort.
i dropped my usa shooting membership a while ago, i guess i should reup, but that magazine has got to be one of the worst in the industry. ugh. but, as you pointed out, it has all the match info.
thanks.
