TOZ 49 in USA

I have a passion for target revolvers, I have 2 different Model 14 S&W and a King conversion of the Colt OMM. This brings me to my question. Has anyone ever seen a TOZ 49 in the USA? I tried to buy one from Australia, but the opinion that I got from the BATF was that it could not be brought into the country. A Nagant revolver was OK and of course the TOZ 35 was fine, but not the 49. Any thoughts would be great!

FWIW, I have heard that the trade agreement barring most Soviet/Russian-made firearms from being imported into the US has recently been dropped. If that's true, the TOZ 49 would be importable now. If you ask the BATFE about this and get an answer, please share it on this site. Thanks.
