Hi all!
I shoot a High Standard The Victor (marvellous gun!), but it's not exactly new any more, and I'd like to get a new mag for it. But...
Where (preferably in Europe) do I find magazines for it?
Thanks,
Fast Fumble

Triple K makes aftermarket magazines for HS pistols. They are not very well respected. They can be made to work, and some people have had good luck with them, but others say that the lips are too soft and have to be readjusted frequently. I have a couplel that work, but have only used them for a year or so. In the US they are widely available through distributers that serve the local gun stores. I don't know about Europe.
The current High Standard company, located in Houston, TX, USA makes magazines. They are held in higher regard than the Triple K brand, but are still not thought of as highly as the original HS magazines. I don't know about their availability in Europe.
Original HS magazines are still available on the used market. I see them frequently on eBay. Most are sold to/from the US, but if you are willing to pay the shipping, I'm sure some would sell to you. The big downside, is that you don't know if they are really original HS mags or not. Perhaps others can help, with identifying characteristics. The ones I know of, is the red plastic base and the spot weld marks are oval, rather than round. You can also ask at Jim Spacek's High Standard discussion page (http://disc.server.com/Indices/34752.html).
Good luck,
Steve T

If you do get an aftermarket, non-original, HS mag the link below has information that will help you "fix" them so they will work properly.

The aftermarket mags can be made to function, but the old originals are the best.
