Better Sights for S&W

Post by DLBrown »

Does anyone know of a better rear sight that can be fitted to a S&W Model 14 (K38) I would just like to get bigger blockier sights, possibly with better precision.

Thanks,

Dwight

S&W Model 14 replacement rear sight

Post by Mike Taylor »

The Behlert sight is a drop-in replacement offering finer adjustment, greater elevation range, and it is "blockier". Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, it is no longer manufactured. If you can find a used one, it should be just what you want. If you can find two, I'll buy the second one :-)

S & W sight

Try the Millet target sight (available from Brownells). It is a direct replacement for the rear sight.
Depending on your model K the foresight can be more difficult.
