Morini 162 ei cocking issue?

Post by jv1 »

Hi guys
I bought new morini in October lady year.Last few times on the range when I lift cocking lever, load the pellet, than pushing the lever forward the strange click is heard .with lever
in low position , the tiger is pulled and gun only click (dry fire mode)- there is now air relies.
Cocking lever has to be cycled 2-3 times and gun fires.
This happens after 5-6 loading, very intermittent.

Pulling the loading lever full back should set the hammer to the cocked position.
As the loading lever is moved forward there should be no load felt pushing the lever forward.
If a forward load is felt then the hammer did not cock and has come forward with the lever.
If this is the case then when fired all you get is the solenoid click.
The other possibility is that the hammer is set but the solenoind is weak and not fiting the
trip sear to discharge.
You need to investigate as to what is problem actually is before fixing.

Hi David
Thank you so much for finding time to answer.
I thought it was something simple .
I will send the pistols back to seller(cibles targets) I am not going to try to fix any of these problems .

Don't pull the Tiger . . . you'll get bit.
