Most shooters take WAY more time than they need to, often wearing themselves out by overthinking every shot.

We had a very good student shooter on the college team I help coach. We had an air pistol match on a Friday evening, and he apparently had a date that evening as well. We were shooting on paper targets, with hand crank carriers, possibly 3 or 4 shots per target. He shot the entire match in under 30 minutes, and had the high score of the match.

Nothing to inspire performance like a hot date
