Looks like a Vostok Margolin/MCM with a barrel weight.

No idea what it is, but I am pretty sure it is not Margolin. Or a heavily-butchered one that lost its hammer?
Re: Identify Russian Rapid Fire Pistol
Definately a Margolin. Modified for Rapid fire competition. Used by may Eastern block competitors

Re: Identify Russian Rapid Fire Pistol
It hides behind the hump of the grip.
Here´s a quite similar conversion:

Definitely KGB.
Re: Identify Russian Rapid Fire Pistol
This is a MTsU-U, a Margolin in .22 Short reworked by sport pistol armourers in Suhl, in Eastern Germany back in the day for the Olympic Rapid Fire event. This modified Margolin was used by the Polish RF shooter, Jozef Zapedski to win gold medals in the 1968 and 1972 Olympics. He narrowly lost a third in 1976 due to dud ammunition. Jozef passed away quite recently.
A colleague of mine and I wrote an article on these pistols a couple of years ago which was put up on TT in this thread: https://targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?p= ... in#p313393
It is an interesting development of the Margolin in order to lower the barrel line in relation to the grip. I found one in Germany, bought it and imported it to Australia. It garnered a lot of interest amongst the Margolin nuts down under - and there are many. A nice pistol to shoot but no longer permissible under current ISSF rules.
Enjoy the read. Any comments would be welcome by Tony and me.

The pdf link in that article returns a 404. Is it available elsewhere?BobGee wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 5:37 am A colleague of mine and I wrote an article on these pistols a couple of years ago which was put up on TT in this thread: https://targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?p= ... in#p313393

Thanks -TT-, you’re right. Not sure what has happened to the Burilda PC website. Am trying to find out. Meantime I think I can post a link to my DropBox. I'll be back…

Re: Identify Russian Rapid Fire Pistol
Fascinating article, thanks! I am impressed how it covers so many aspects of the story. The innovative mechanics of the trigger and sear are especially interesting, I recognize them in today's Feinwerkbau and even Pardini...
