Alfa Proj Competition PCP Pistol Pricing

Post by B Lafferty »

Does anyone have any insight into why this air pistol is now selling in the US for $1200. Ten years ago this was a very competitively priced pcp air pistol. Not any more.

I have an AP-20 and use it with a slimline Walther cylinder. I've upgraded the ambi grip with an LP400 3D printed grip that leaves a bit to be desired. I put the original plastic grip back on and have added putty here and there to build the grip up to where it's functional. I'll likely put a Rink grip on it in the new year.

I had an Alfa Proj back in 2012. It was actually a nice handling and very accurate air pistol for the money back then when the cost was around $650. If that were still the price, it would be competitive with the latest iteration of the IZZY. Frankly, I don't understand why the price is now up to $1,200 which is absurd.

Now, to have a lower back replacement to cure my sciatica......
