Feinwerkbau Support in the US?

Post by brent375hh »

The FWB P8x intrigues me. Upon casual looking, there are many places to purchase, but I am coming up short on parts and service centers that are factory authorized . I am spoiled by the excellent parts availability for Steyr, and to have them in my mailbox in 3 days.

Does the same situation exist for Feinwerkbau, but I just don't know where it is? Any firsthand positive experiences out there?

There's a HUGE reason for above statement: their names are Scott, Jennifer, and Buck.

Can't say enough good things about Pilkington Competition(http://www.pilkguns.com/), our hosts, in terms of service and sales for those of us in the USA. These days, we tend to look for everything on the web and do things without talking to a person, but a quick and easy call to Jennifer at Pilk can save you hours or days of web-paralysis trying to find what you are looking for related to precision air products or maintenance/repair. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Feinwerkbau honors their dealer contracts and sent you their entire dealer list. With the exception of Pyramid, who I have no experience, all are gold plated. I use them for different things and none has failed me.....

Honestly, the servicing of FWB products should not be of concern.... There is always the caveat that the little bits like alternate front sights should be bought before they are sold out..... But that goes for everybody.,

Also, maybe I got the exceptional example, but in the 7 years I've owned my P44, and an estimated 30k shots through it, the only thing I've done is new seals. So I wouldn't be too worried about finding parts for constant repairs.

They load on my phone. Can you please retry? It may have been a temporary glitch. There are a lot of pictures, so it should take a while to see all of them

No pictures visible here either, on phone or on several desktop browsers. After scraping the image URLs, they can be opened by navigating directly, so it appears to be some sort of blocked or broken referral. Does Wordpress require the user to accept all cookies perhaps?

Not that I know of. The servers are in the USA, but content is delivered worldwide via Cloudflare's CDN. Everyone should be able to see the pics and other content of public posts. I'll look into it asap, but now it is time to go to bed.

Can you send me or share here a screenshot of what you see? Any error messages?

Enjoy the weekend y'all

Large white spaces are shown where pictures should be. Sometimes, with borders showing, but generally not. All the way down the page. No errors. Firefox desktop in this case.

If I right click the blank space below "improve your shooting" and "copy image location", it comes back as

Code: Select all

data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Which is weird.

OTOH if I drill down into the page source and copy the photo URL from the img element's data-src kv pair, it displays when pasted into the address bar.

Code: Select all

It should be fixed now.

The issue was with the Siteground Supercacher plugin and the javascript optimization options, which are now deactivated.

Thanks to @ebinnion for the solution!
