Biathlon?

Post by william »

I Googled and found nothing: Is there such a thing as biathlon shot with pistols?

Winter is coming. X-country skis & shoes are ready to shed a year's worth of dust. Cataracts have been dealt with. Shoulder is beginning to respond to P-T. Obviously there would have to be some differences, much bigger targets for instance.

Has anybody ever heard of such a thing?

I dunno, but I'm sure that skis would assist you with your downward slide.

Ahh, William, don't get all wudgy-wudgy.

You know we both love the shooting game because your scores give you a perfect numerical plot of your physical decline as you age. I've seen several guys that just couldn't take it and wimped out of the sport.

...and swords, and horses. I have both of those sitting somewhere in the basement. If I could only remember where I put them. Then I'll have to check with Pardini whether their warranty covers immersion in a swimming pool.

Thanks for the idea.

Laser

Not exactly, they are air pistols equipped with lasers which have a XXX millesecond delay after the trigger is pulled before the
laser is actuated. At the same time the air pistol discharges a volume of air to simulate a firearm movement making the sighting and use of it more in line with a free pistol than a laser that just sits there........

I'm sure I have one of those things, too. Probably right near the epée. Is there something special about a 30 msec. lock time? And why did you write it in Roman numerals?

In wrote it in Xs, as is the custom with engineers to show a numeric value that exists, but whos value isn't at the tip of the writers mind, but the actual number is of little relevance to the discussion other than it exists.

William, to spice things up, could we do Biathlon with machine guns instead?

Here's my new Dutch machine-gun snow sled:

Don't get me started on that damned laser-tag toy. Someone in the international Modern Pentathalon federation got paid off.
