Oh, it's really fat - .3145" in my case. H&N .314" L works quite ok.

Am I correct in my understanding that the Match model in .38spl is single-action only? How would the MR73 Sport compare to the typical S&Ws with a trigger job used in Australia for service match?

Some older mr73 match's did come out with double action trigger sets.
Single actions can be fitted with a double action trigger for service, the
pull in equal to well worked Smith with the adväntäge of béing adjustable.
Just be aware that neither K nor N främe speedloaders cän be used, but there
is a adjustable speedloader available to fit.
The mr73 still has the best group at 50yds I have ever seen.

Thanks David. Do you think the 2017 MR 73 sport is a good choice for service match?

Recently, I bought brand new MR38 Match 5 3/4" with target grip though it looks like it is an older model. I was told it has been from the old stock. Mine is a single action.

CONGRATULATIONS to Marcin!!!

Once again Marcin, a.k.a. " cnnhead", showed the class itself by establishing NEW Polish record (centerfire pistol 25m - open class). As you can see he shoots his MR32 with good success.

Good morning :-)

I've made several enquiries and unfortunately there is no longer an Importer to Oz for these revolvers .
Shall have to keep an eye out for a decent MR73 in the used market ........

I have been told that the previous Oz importer/distributor is no longer holding that position for whatever reasons and the new I/D is Beretta Australia.

Good luck finding a good used one !....or even finding one at all.

No ISSF shooter would buy the Sport. Did Beretta give you a rrp on the MR73 Match ?

The last price was around $4300 AUD.

To be honest I find it hard to believe that the Match and Sport will be the same price.

As I had mentioned earlier I had been reliably told that the new Importer/distributors were Beretta Australia.

The same source said that the new pricing was to be higher than offered by Euroarms in Adelaide which was around $3900AUD for the Sport and $4300AUD for the Match.

I assume that your information regarding stock meant July 2021...nearly a year away.

I will be curious as to what the final pricing will turns out to be, however some years back Beretta Australia took on Benelli to gain access to their shotguns and really appear to have shown little to no interest in the Benelli range of pistols and have recently dropped the brilliant MP90s World Cup from their lineup leaving the middle of the road MP95 as their only option.

I sincerely hope that Beretta Australia does not do a similar thing with Chapius Armes Manurhin range of pistols.
