USA Shooting Board of Directors Seeks Volunteers to Fill Open Committee Positions
Colorado Springs, Colorado
The USAS Board of Directors is placing a call for those interested in serving by filling important committee positions. Currently there are openings on the following committees:

ETHICS COMMITTEE: Three open positions
AUDIT COMMITTEE: Two open positions
JUDICIAL COMMITTEE: One open position
NOMINATING AND GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE: One open position

*Planned new Committee*

SELECTION AND PSS COMMITTEE: Number of openings to be determined.

The Selection and PSS Committee will be tasked with formulating, overseeing, and keeping selection and PSS procedures and policies up to date. The committee will set procedures for athletes to be appointed to the National Team, Para Team(s), Development Team, Junior National Team, and any other official USAS Team designation. The committee will set the procedures for earning medals and MQS slots for International competitions, including the Olympics.
The committee will formulate a PSS policy and will review and update the score levels on an annual basis.
The BOD has yet to formulate the exact mix of this committee, which will be made up of five voting members, plus all the National Team coaches and a USAS staff position in non-voting roles.

If you are interested in serving on a committee:

Review the purpose and duties of each committee contained in the USA Shooting bylaws.
Bylaws can be found on the USAS website under; Resources/Policies and procedures/USA Shooting Documents/Revised Bylaws (November 27, 2019) or HERE: https://www.usashooting.org/library/USA ... .27.19.pdf
Send a short note with your interest in serving, which committee(s) you would like to be considered for, and why you feel you would be a valuable addition to the committee.
A resume is not necessary but feel free to send one. Please include a short synopsis of your history/involvement with USAS shooting as a competitor, parent, volunteer, coach, etc.

Send letter of interest and/or resume to Rick Marsh, Vice Chairman USAS Board of Directors at rmarsh501@gmail.com
