Post by atomicgale »

CMP has DELETED the listed May 09th air gun match for Camp Perry.

Looks like a No-Go?

I'll call program coordinator in Anniston tomorrow and post results here.

RESULTS:

CMP offices closed. Reopen Monday May 04th.

Since the NRA announced all May matches are cancelled, it would be safe to assume the same for CMP. They have already cancelled the National Matches.

MARCH 15, 2020
CMP CANCELS UPCOMING GAMES EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
CAMP PERRY, OH – The Civilian Marksmanship Program has announced the cancellation of multiple CMP Games events and CMP activities due to increased health concerns brought on by the COVID-19 virus outbreak. The CMP made its decisions based on today’s recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“Starting immediately and for the next 8 weeks, CDC recommends cancelling all events of 50 or more people,” according to today’s press announcement. “Ongoing guidance recommends that, in areas where there is even minimal COVID-19, events likely to include 10 or more people at high-risk for serious issues should be cancelled.

“People at higher risk include older adults and people who have chronic medical conditions such as lung and heart disease, as well as diabetes. If there is substantial spread in your area, all gatherings should be cancelled,” the release concluded.

As a result of this resolution, the Civilian Marksmanship will be cancelling the following events:

The CMP Western Games 800 Aggregate Rifle Matches and Team Match at Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, AZ scheduled for March 18-22 have been canceled.

Civilian Marksmanship Centers at Camp Perry, OH and Anniston, AL are closed until further notice. All weekly open public marksmanship sessions are canceled.

CMP Monthly Airgun Matches – Camp Perry, OH & Anniston, AL – All match events and related activities will be postponed until further notice.

Eastern CMP Games & CMP Highpower Rifle Matches – Camp Butner, NC – All match events and training courses related to the Eastern Games scheduled for April 24 – May 3 have been cancelled.

Grand Opening of CMP’s New Rifle Store at Camp Perry – The CMP’s opening of a new rifle store at Building 3 at Camp Perry has been postponed until further notice.
