IZH-46 Pistol rebuild

Post by Flintlock »

Greetings

New to this pistol, and bought it used. Does not seem to compress. I have seen descriptions about how to replace the seals on the breech block. But can anyone provide directions on how to replace the other seals, O-rings? Thanks!

Go ahead & throw it in the trash.

Buy a PCP gun from Champ Choice or Pilk Guns once the world reopens.

Saving you time & frustration. Hope this helps.

I am currently unemployed, and so a new purchase is not feasible. I would like to see if I can rebuild this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

First, file down the ridiculous extra-large Soviet-style grips on the '46 Beast. Quick-fix, drop some olive oil into the cylinder. See if that helps. If not, we go to step two . . . .

Thank you ! for the link on the instructions. I did also find the link below that seems to have a slideshow, which would help a lot. Unfortunately, my desktop is a Mac and I cannot open a .exe file. Does anyone have this is a pdf or power point, or Word doc? Or, do you have another pictorial similar to this?

Sorry to bug you all, but new to this gun and given the number of them out there, I should think someone provided a tutorial.

Thanks!

Sounds like to need to get Boot Camp on your Mac or visit a friend with a Windows computer who does not mind you downloading strange executables (virus check first).

I was going to ask Atom about troubleshooting my George Foreman grill but never mind.

One, I've had the Izzy-46 & you can shoot it so much, you end up with elbow tendinitis by having to pump the thing (think I'm kidding . . . ) It's a great gun.

Two, why doesn't it compress? I don't know - it's a Russian broom-hilda, basically indestructible & ready for the Zombie hordes . . .

Three, the '46; it's picky . . . so hopefully someone out in Zombie world can help Flintlock get the pistol shooting.

Flint-lock, please check your private messages and give me a call before you do anything to your IZH-46. They are very good air pistols for the ISSF 10m match. Some people don't appreciate them but that is mostly due to prejudice and ignorance. I've used them for some years.
