Updated: USA Shooting COVID-19- Statement regarding Smallbore Rifle Olympic Trials Part 2
USA Shooting is in the process of rescheduling the Smallbore Rifle Olympic Trials Part 2.

As of now, we are looking at the dates of May 23-24 for competition. Proposed training May 19-21, and PET May 22, 2020.

The location is still to be determined.

As we look to reschedule, we will do so in consultation with our stakeholders (including but not limited to: USAMU, WCAP, NCAA, USOPC, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center).

We will continually provide updates as information becomes available.

Updated: USA Shooting COVID-19- Operations
In the interest and health of our wellbeing of our athletes and staff, USA Shooting is operating with minimum staffing in the office beginning today until Friday, April 3rd, 2020.

March 13, 2020:
Updated: USA Shooting COVID-19- Statement regarding Smallbore Rifle Olympic Trials Part 2
Smallbore Rifle Olympic Trials Part 2, scheduled for March 29-31, 2020 at Ft. Benning, Georgia has been cancelled per the Ft. Benning Commanding General.

With this information, we will now begin the process of rescheduling the Smallbore Rifle Olympic Trials Part 2. As we look to reschedule, we will do so in consultation with our stakeholders (including but not limited to: USAMU, WCAP, NCAA, USOPC, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center).

We will continually provide updates as information becomes available.




March 12, 2020:
USA Shooting COVID-19- Statement regarding Rifle-Pistol National Junior Olympic Championships and Smallbore Rifle Olympic Trials Part 2
The Rifle-Pistol National Junior Olympic Championships originally scheduled for April 6-26, 2020 have been postponed by USA Shooting Leadership (in consultation with our Coaching Staff, Administrators, and The COVID-19 Taskforce).

The rescheduled date will be announced via our website and social media platforms as soon as a decision has been made. USA Shooting will resend Junior Olympic invites to those who have previously qualified. Athletes will have a new opportunity to either accept or decline.

Participants can request a lodging deposit refund for Junior Olympics. If you would like a refund, please email rpjuniorolympics@usashooting.org. USA Shooting can also hold the deposit should the later date work.

Regarding Smallbore Rifle Olympic Trials Part 2, scheduled for March 29-31, 2020 at Ft. Benning, Georgia we are currently evaluating the practicality based on the current environment and are continuing as planned. In the interim, we are looking into alternative options for potential venues and dates. We will continually provide updates as the situation develops.

Any rescheduling of these events will be done in consultation with our stakeholders (including but not limited to: USAMU, WCAP, NCAA, USOPC, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center).

We will update our community with more information once it becomes available.

USA Shooting - Position Statement on Coronavirus [COVID-19] and World Cup – New Deli, India
The purpose of the memorandum is to ensure that the health and wellbeing of all USA Shooting Athletes [Junior and Senior levels] is our priority during the Coronavirus issue.

Since the beginning of February 2020, USA Shooting has been monitoring the situation by examining the information and data that has been made public by these following organizations:

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [cdc.gov]
International Olympic Committee [Olympic.org]
Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee [tokyo2020.org]
United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee [teamusa.org]
World Shooting Para Sport [Paralympic.org]
International Shooting Sport Federation [issf-sports.org]
Statista Infographics Bulletin [www.statista.com]
The Emergency Email & Wireless Network [emergencyemail.org]

After careful consideration and the presentation of information that we have been able to establish, USA Shooting has come to the decision to not attend the World Cup- New Deli, India scheduled for March 2020.

Additionally, the Olympic Test Event scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan April 15th is now cancelled.

Our philosophy of athlete centricity is at the core foundation of our existence. We will continue to monitor the situation and plan forward in preparation for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
