Vans skateboard shoes?

Post by IPshooter »

Hello all,

I am recommending Vans skateboard shoes for a new shooter. Does anyone know if they are passing the current ISSF stiffness test? Looking for feedback from someone who recently tested them at a competition.

TIA

having worn Vans in the past (amazing shoes) i can't see why they wouldn't pass the stiffness test - if they did fail it wouldn't take too much to break them in imho

If you can bend them with your hands they pass largely. My Adidas Powerlift pass without issues (actually I show the officials how I bend them and they don't even bother putting them in the machine).

Super stiff shoes like Sauer pass too, and they are stiff like a piece of wood compared to regular sportshoes and streetwear shoes.

There are a lot of shooters in competitions with streetwear shoes.

Also consider weight lifting shoes.
Look at examples.
