wish I still had my old 2 1/2" Python, bought in the early 70's in Germany
with hindsight and a lot of handling of other guns in the meantime, I can only say that those pieces were pieces of art!
(engineering-wise)
But then, I also sold others, like the best ever made center fire target pistol - the .38 SIG Hammerli P240, when economics determined it!

I wish I had never sold any of those - and a few others! - but then - life happens!
I sold too many for silly reasons like needing a few Dollars for other things my then wife thought we couldn't live without -
others, I sold because I was leaving a country (and wife!) in Europe to take up an opportunity in another country/Continent and couldn't get
a licence worked out beforehand - all silly things, looking back on it - but then were important.

I did once travel with a number of guns into Kenya (very early 70's) and was lucky to get in unchallenged!
I did manage to get everything on a ticket by meeting the right people (frowned upon nowadays!!) and in the end shoot for Kenya in international competitions...

But I don't want to hijack this thread
getting old and old memories are coming back!

I bought one for $250 when I lived in Alaska. I traded it for a Hammerli Free Pistol. I was content.

I say, trouble right here in River City,
Between a gentlemen and a bum
With a capital "B,"
And that rhymes with "P" and that stands for PYTHON . . . .
