I have my 80 apart for a rebuild and have a couple questions. First the two pins in the front for the recoil system don't want to come out, I have the four E clips removed and they won't budge. Is driving them out the front with a punch the only way to remove them? I have some yellow brass that I can turn down for a punch to use instead of steel if needed.
When I ordered parts I also got a new spring. My gun had two springs but I've been told to only use one, one or two? I really don't believe this pistol has been shot much or has ever been apart. It was averaging 420 fps with JBS 8.02 and 450 fps with H&N 7.84 with the buffer coming apart.
Thanks, Justin

Re: FWB 80 disassembly?
2 spring system was the original design, 1pc spring system replaced it. Jim Maccari makes a 1pc replacement spring and his products are known to be reliable and quality pieces. Not sure which system is better since i think you can still source the 2pc spring setup from FWB.
