Targettalk Monthly AP league

Post by siordian1 »

Wondering if there is any interest in a monthly postal league. I know of one on Facebook, which I did shoot, the only drawback was having to post photos of the cards.

I suggest we keep it simple, post what you scored and how you shot it.

I shot a 544 yesterday, 10 meters, offhand, open sight.

Shoot as often as you like and post your best score.

My only goal is to score better than Rover, which I think I did.

Being computer illiterate, the Facebook site was fun but a real pain to post the pictures. That,s why I dropped out. I do shoot with NetCompetitor and that's a fun site. Anyway, count me in although my scores are near the 500 mark on a good day.

Years ago, there used to be a regular one on here. I'd shoot it.

I guess we'll shoot a standard 60 shots match? Once a month?

3-4 weeks ago got myself a FWB 103
Shot a 566 on that Facebook competition!

We are off to a good start.

Correct, 60 shot match.

Shoot as often as you like and post your best score, as long as you get it in by the end of the month.

The goal is to improve and the best way to do that is to shoot, a lot.

For those of you who might like a more formal match, I also shoot the CMP Aces postal. You would need to be a CMP member, the cost us $8.00, you can shoot electronically or they will mail you a set of orion cards. You shoot the cards and mail them back. We get about 40-50 shoots each quarter. They will mail you a commemorative poker chip, the top 3 shooters get medals. Not a bad deal and another way to keep shooting.

522 (far from PB 562 10 years ago)

May be it is the pistol Steyr LP10, holding 80 shots now from green dial to yellow dial. Throwing puff balls at the end.

I know all the right things to do.

But is just overholding, and having too short of follow through.

Shoot, shoot, shoot, to much shooting; need to slow down, way down.

Hey, if you catch flesh-eating-bacteria, one simple cure is to use expired-cylinders to blow that stuff off.

Problem solved.

Do the 60 shots have to occur within a certain time limit?

I would imagine 90 minutes on paper targets or 75 minutes on electronic targets. But I'm not the guy running this thing. Stay tuned.

Spieth Electronic System
Offhand
Open Sights
LP10
6 Oclock Hold
In Germany we take LP very seriously. Finding a 10m Range is like finding a gas station. Even small towns with 500 Residents usually have a Range.

This comming Saturday We have Qualifiying Matches for the State Team (Rheinland Pfalz) and yes I will be there.

Time Limit

I see that was asked.

90 mins on paper or electronic sounds good to me.

I will review the scores and tally up a list when we are done. I also asked the forum administrator if we can set this up as a "sticky" so it appears at the top of the page, I have not heard back yet.

New guy here, just started shooting AP in January. Been on the Netcompetitor leagues and monthly matches, and shot my first PTO match in Colorado Springs (where I did horribly).

I'm going to have to look into the CMP Aces postal matches.

My submission so far:

556
Paper Targets/under 90 minutes
Offhand
Open sights
Steyr Evo 10 M
Sub 6 hold

This was originally entitled "Cheating Bastards", but a moderator had to inject his opinion.

I have a sense of humor thank God..... And while I thought it was funny, some dreadfully hurt people might not take to it as well as I did. Blow as hard as you want, you cant fix this.......

Do we have to state open sight, one hand unsupported?
I'm pretty sure that everyone knows that
I think if you just put your score, what brand/model you're using and maybe your age?

Why age? Someone ELSE might get offended. As a proxy for age, post your eyeglass prescription and how much you paid for the glasses.

Then, as a super-insulting handicap system, post your UN-Corrected distance vision, and adjust how far you STAND from the target by that variable.

This was supposed to be 10-meter AP?
