Rear sight out of adjustment
My new to me LP10 was shooting on target when it first arrived. Then I ran out a cylinder and put I. A new cylinder and I was 16 clicks high. I've adjusted it down so now it is centeredish, but I am completely out of sight adjustment in the down direction. The only thing I can think of that might be a problem is that I adjusted my grip for both rake and cant, when I hear you aren't supposed to do both. But I really want both. So is it possible that my nonprotocol grip adjustment has thrown off the sight so much, or does it have to be something else?
Re: Rear sight out of adjustment
Take your grip off, and try adjust sight , if it goes down then its the grip.
Re: Rear sight out of adjustment
Is the sight "bottoming out" on the top surface of the grip? A Dremel can relieve the interference perhaps.

Re: Rear sight out of adjustment
There may be a grip spacer missing, and so the sight hits the grip as it is adjusted downwards, if you tighten the grip too much with this missing you can crack the frame of the pistol - don't ask how I know this!!!!!
Re: Rear sight out of adjustment
had same thing happen... you can not adjust both rake and cant. has to be one or the other.. you have to choose. try making your choice and see if the problem goes away; if it does, then you have your answer.
Hammer to shape, file to fit, paint to match...
Re: Rear sight out of adjustment
If you don't mind taking a Dremel to your grip, I suspect you can still accommodate rake & cant (at least a bit).
Re: Rear sight out of adjustment
The spacer was missing. I found it and added it. But I have so much rake that the rear sight is still hitting the grip at the back, so I will either have to find my dremel tool or lose some rake. Also, with the spacer in there, the 5M x30mn screw I bought to install the grip is too short to use with a washer, so I will have to get a 5Mx40mm, as that is next size up that is locally available, and hope that it is not too long.
Re: Rear sight out of adjustment
Update is, after some searching, I found this old thread that suggests moving the rear sight back to clear the back of the grip. I tried that, and it worked. Only had to move it a tiny bit.

There’s also some discussion about adjusting for both rake and can’t. Have to make sure all 4 screws are coplanar.
