Forum update

Post by Shin »

Forum software was updated to catch up with updates in PHP and hosting servers. Unfortunately update is incompatible with "Social media login" mod. This update will make forum more stable and little bit more mobile device friendly. Please reply to this topic or/and send me an e-mail if you see bugs or problems.

Thanks for the upgrade. So far I do not see any issues.

This is a request for convenience……..

Could you put a tab on the home page for "New Posts" please.

A good number of readers hit the new posts tab as soon as they log on.

Thank you

Looks good, glad you got the PHP debugged and all is well. It took me a LOT of coffee to migrate the forum back in the late-'90s ... Good to see it still live & kickin'!

As an alternative, if you log on automatically you can go straight to search.php?search_id=unreadposts

Thanks Shin! I had been seeing the PHP notices and guessed that it was a mismatch between the phpBB version and the PHP version of the host.

Wait until your host forces the PHP 7.2 upgrade - fun times, fun times...of a "sort".

I don't see a spot for "quotes".

I have my browers set of this instead of the home page..

When I hit the favorites tab for TT, the new posts page come up first.

Really nice to see this up and running again, and 'new and improved.' Only thing is I miss is the gold flags displayed for groups having unread msgs in them on the BOARD INDEX page. I found that very useful. Great board! And thanks! Dating from the emergence of the pre-internet BBS system, I know how much work running one of these sites can be.
