With over 20 years of management experience, Weiland now joins USA Shooting during a pivotal time in the organization’s 25-year history. Weiland will be responsible for helping orchestrate a shooting industry alliance around coaching and youth development.

“We sought out an individual that could be a conduit for bringing together the best organizations in the world to create a comprehensive coaching program for the shooting sports,” said Keith Enlow, USA Shooting CEO. “I have complete faith that Stacy is the right person to allow us to transform our efforts in this area as well as impact our needs in youth development. Our future, along with all of those involved in the shooting sports, depends on us getting this right.”

Weiland is immediately meeting with many of the key shooting sport leaders including the Civilian Marksmanship Program, National Rifle Association, National Shooting Sports Foundation, 4-H, Boy Scouts, Army Marksmanship Unit, Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation, Scholastic Clay Target Program, and American Legion to create a comprehensive coaching program that is impactful for all organizations.

He noted some of his goals in this position will be to build relationships that will help expand our reach to more precision shooters.

“We need to reach more of the shooters that are out there and to get them to top notch-coaches so they can use their skills within the Olympic-style shooting events,” he said.

Stacy visited us at the Scholastic Action Shooting Program Championships in Ohio last month. There is great opportunity for us to work together and become the pipeline to Olympic sports. Our program has over 1,500 youth nationwide and 500 of them competed at Nationals with over 1,200 entries in five different disciplines.
I know several of our coaches that are engaged with the Coaching material that USA Shooting has offered. There is genuine interest to make the opportunities that are available better known to our athletes.
