Firearms are a bit trickier to import or export than your typical "stuff" on Amazon.spektr wrote:As a reseller of stuff on amazon....
I think people will find that the difficult part is the importation into the USA. Exporting from the USA is a pain too. Canada will let me import any rifle, no questions asked. No American can sell me one. Except for a couple of businesses that are FFLs and specialise in transfering firearms over the border.
As I've suggested before, using someone in Canada as a middleman might help get firearms from Europe to the USA, but your costs will skyrocket with the various import and export duties.

Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
ISIS didn't have any problem importing firearms from the U.S. Not sure who did the paperwork.
Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
Importing firearms (of any sort) is subject to ATF regulations and all the implied issues. These guys work with importing firearms into the US and would probably be a good place to ask such questions, along with the Bureau of ATF: http://www.johnsonfirearms.com/export_import/
I don't think any monetary savings will be found in such a venture, but that may not be the objective.

I love how so many people use this forum to advise people how to avoid my business. Some of whom I considered friends and even helped them in their businesses.....
Just so heartwarming, especially this time of year.
There is even a recent thread from someone who had a problem with their Krale bought gun.... guess who they sent it to for warranty service......

I'd think that quite a few of those many people, especially those who found TargetTalk through google or personal reference, have little idea that Target Talk is here courtesy of a shooting supply business. There is just one inconspicuous reference ("Hosted by Pilkguns.com") to that extent but it is not even "clickable." And many non-US users probably have no idea about what Pilkington store is.pilkguns wrote:I love how so many people use this forum to advise people how to avoid my business. Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
this thread is much older than that unclickable link*....
and the people I am referencing know well who sponsors this site.
* which I am told requires a new software upgrade to fix, which really makes no sense to me, but the software needs upgraded anyway, which is a major PITA.

Being in the business, do you have any leads or contacts to import hard to get guns?pilkguns wrote:I love how so many people use this forum to advise people how to avoid my business.
There are multiple businesses that specialise in getting general marker firearms both ways across the US/Canada border. And they make good money on their service fees.
Seems there's a niche market for the same service with precision and speciality competition firearms.
If it's true that the export/import requirements between the USA and the Netherlands have become too onerous for Krale in Pilkguns shoes I would see it as an opportunity to possible make Krale a partner and gain revenue from their customers where importing individually is in the best interest of the customer and selling direct when that is in the best interest of the customer.

Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
I would like to know the paypal account (email) address for Pilkguns, in this time of holiday season. Maybe it's obvious to most, but it's not clear to me.
Edit: It is likely inappropriate to display email addresses on an open forum. At least, I'm concerned about that.

http://www.pilkguns.com/contact-us/
Pilkguns.com ; phone = (931) 924-3400. Yes, a real human does answer the phone.
These folks are professionals, highly skilled, and reputable. Best of all, they are a wealth of information, and the value of knowledge in this unique sport is PRICELESS!
Sorry, don't know their PayPal address. However, yes, I will compensate $10 to Pilk Guns for use of this forum for any transactions I conduct here. Well worth it.
Reputation is more important than saving a couple dollars.

You offered the Evo 10 at a price comparable to Krale earlier this month, but only for the Compact model. So you have room to compete
you just choose not to.
You get to choose your price, the buyer gets to choose theirs.

Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
Since you asked, I checked...using Krale's web site switched to show US Dollars.Christopher Miceli wrote:Pistoley wrote:No one's trying to avoid your business, they are trying to avoid your prices.pilkguns wrote:I love how so many people use this forum to advise people how to avoid my business. Evo 10 E at Krale I show at price of US$ 1827.51 with shipping and CC Fee, which is $322+shipping lower, my results seem to differ from yours.
I can't comment on Krale because I have never ordered from their, just price shopping.

Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
I've used Krale quite a few times with no issues, but I should add I live in the UK and the price was very good with them a couple of years ago due to the exchange rate. The other thing that is good for a buyer in the UK is that Krale can send a pistol/rifle to your home address; UK shops are not allowed to do this due to a ridiculous law.
I've also had a leaking cylinder which I sent back for repair under warrenty and that was easier than sending one internally within the UK.
So for me, no issues with Krale but for us in the UK it works well (at the moment) as we're in the EU common market there are no issues with import tax and customs.

Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
Bear in mind if KRALE is labeling their imports as "AIRSOFT" instead of true Air Rifle/Air Pistol, that could be a reason they ship straight to your door in UK (and bypassing those "ridiculous laws".)
Also, if you find your "AIRSOFT" import from KRALE into the USA discovered by Customs and it is confiscated for evading taxes & tariffs, so much for that great price.
. . . and if Scotland Yard finds out over the pond in Communist England, you get to celebrate Guy Fawkes style by being beheaded . . . or is it burnt at the stake?

It's got nothing to do with false labeling; it's genuinly a ridiculous law (Violent Crime Reduction act) and it applies to UK traders, not our European cousins. Buying from Krale in the UK is totally legal.
When I say ridiculous law its not that I think we shouldn't have gun control, we already had some of the tightest controls in the world and this VCR just went over the top.

Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
Still looks like ILLEGAL importation to me. The UK Communist VCR2006 requires true air gun to be sold to a "registered firearm dealer", which your doorstep is NOT! (Quoting the VCR §32):
§32: Sales of air weapons by way of trade or business to be face to face.
This section applies where a person sells an air weapon by way of trade or business to an individual in Great Britain who is not registered as a firearms dealer.
(2) A person is guilty of an offence if, for the purposes of the sale, he transfers possession of the air weapon to the buyer otherwise than at a time when both—
(a) the buyer, and
(b) either the seller or a representative of his, are present in person.
Anyway . . . Guy Fawkes actually was going to be HANGED!

Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
Badly written law. One, the law applies to the seller, not the purchaser. Two, the UK can't make UK law apply in other jurisdictions and the citizens of those jurisdictions. So the law only applies to an individual in Great Britain.atomicgale wrote:This section applies where a person sells an air weapon by way of trade or business to an individual in Great Britain who is not registered as a firearms dealer.
Krale is not in the UK. Therefor there is no infraction committed by Krale.
Only a law written to hold the recipient or the transporter liable would apply to sales from Krale in the UK.
