ISSF Center Fire Sighting Series

Post by fc60 »

Greetings,

It has been many years since I shot Center Fire.

Back then, we had a sighter series for the Precision Stage and one for the Duel stage.

The Duel Stage prompts my question.

How is it conducted today?

Load 5 shots and shoot a Duel Series? Or, load 5 shots and fire at a stationary target?

Cheers,

Dave

Greetings David,

"Five sighting shots timed."

This means the target is stationary? i.e. as if you were shooting Precision Fire?

Cheers,

Dave

No it means that it is shot on a timer with turning targets (paper) or lights (electronic).
Away 7 sec, face 3 sec, away...etc for 5 shots, one on each facing.

Greetings David,

Many thanks for the clarification.

The local Match Director was running it incorrectly.

Cheers,

Dave
