Glue sandpaper to the grip? Easy to remove if it doesn't work out, and available in different pain levels.

I can't think of a problem with inserting pins in the grip as long as the wood is thick enough to support it.

I used super glue and sandblasting grit, probably Aluminum Oxide, but I'm not sure. I don't remember the grit size. When it had hardened I rubbed it really good to remove any loose particles. If any fell off later they were outside the gun, so not likely to get into the mechanism. I don't remember ever seeing "sand" in the gun box or on the bench. It lasted for many years on my LP10 and was still nice and grippy when I sold the gun.

I heard of a guy that attached part of a cheese grater to the frame of his .45 in an effort to improve the grip. He didn't understand why his hand bled every time he fired the pistol.

This sort of thing just isn't needed in air pistol.

And if aluminum oxide is cancer inducing, then I must have died decades ago.

Nobody mentioned grip tape yet? You can find it in any hardware store or skateboard shop.
Not necessary to have it all over the grip, small pieces on pressure areas will help and you can still adjust your hand.

Another cheap option, rubber cement. It will remain sticky when dry.
Not the most durable thing but easy to scrape off and reapply if it starts to peel off or get dirty.

Almost any mosquito repellent will do.

I like aggressive stippling in my bullseye pistols. I want it front and back not on the sides. Front strap I use skateboard tape and the back aggressive stippling (Clark Tiger tooth)

Now on my LP10 I just use (and don't laugh) Pole Wax. Go to a sex shop and ask for pole dancer wax. Very grippy and works great. Not my original idea. A shooter from Cincinnati had it and it works great. The wood will not take stippling very well. Some grit sprinkled on after glue can work but it comes off.

Some people just have to find the most difficult way to solve a problem.... even when the problem is just a symptom.

What I find baffling: if one is going to be skeptical, even argumentative, of the replies, why ask a question?

The longer this thread goes, the more humorous it becomes.

Now I'm thinking of a pieces of steel wire pinned into the grip and protruding from it.
Just couldn`t resist posting a reply:

Tennis grip tape + ProGrip spray. It feels like your hand is glued to the grip, it's not toxic/painful, it's cheap.

C'mon, Motodan, that's just the kind of kinky stuff Zurek told me you were into. Pole wax, indeed!

At the risk of stating what you folks already know. My answer is somewhat serious. Mr Zogs Sex Wax is the product surfers use use to keep their feet stuck to the board. Sticky even when wet. ;^)
