air pump filters?

I have a Gehmann hand pump for my Anschutz air rifle. As I remember, (I could be mistaken), Anschutz provided an adapter that screws onto the pump. Does this adaptor have a water trap or water trap media inside? Should I be using some type of filter for water? When I release the pressure fron the base of the pump, water purges out. Todays humidity is 100% because we just had some rain. I'm not a weather watcher, but humidity is often over 70% in the summer here in Pennsylvania. Thanks for your help. Ter
