You should worry
If you do some digging you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a company called Cerberus Capital Management on a string controlled by Soros.
Altered per Ulrichs' request.

Re: Marlin closing
In 2012 even NRA debunked that rumor as false. Are you saying that Soros had enough sense of humor in 2016 to make it true?
Re: Marlin closing
I get stuff from you folks and others all the time.
Sorry if I blew it on this one.

Re: Marlin closing
Marlin was bought and moved several years ago. An article on this was announced in newspapers, detailing the selling price (I think it was about $20 million) and how many employees that Marlin had about that time (around 256 as I recall). Marlin has been producing firearms since that time, although they have never caught up with demand after the move -- particularly with their newer stainless lever action models and the 39A.

Re: Marlin closing
Don't fret, if the Freedom Group decides to shut down all the gun companies that they own, there are more than enough guns (357 million guns since 2013) in the hands of the U.S. citizens to protect themselves. You should worry why the DHS had purchased more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammo and when the dollar will collapse.Rover wrote: If you control the manufacturers you can decide to stop selling to civilians. What a perfect way to control guns.
Re: Marlin closing
Just like Remington buying Bushmaster.
Where did the money go that bought Bushmaster? To the former owners.
What did they do with that money? They started Windham Weaponry.
Windham offered former employees the same type of jobs and made the same (some say better) types of rifles that they made as Bushmaster.
Amazing, isn't it?

Debunked, along with a few other infowars.com myths. But hey, freedom of propaganda equates with the truth, right?

Ah, and their need to purchase "less lethal specialty munitions"?...Gerard wrote:Um, no.kevinweiho wrote:You should worry why the DHS had purchased more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammo and when the dollar will collapse.

Damned if I know. It's not my country. But they're a security organisation, right? As in policing and such? So wouldn't 'less lethal' ammunition seem to be a good thing for domestic purposes, as compared to the fictional 1.6billion rounds of fmj hollowpoints?

Not my country either, I'll just let someone from U.S. answer this one...
