There are a couple of Feinwerkbau Model 65s out there for sale at $650 each. Any thoughts on this pistol and what is the current fair market value?

For $150 more, you could get a FWB C20 or Steyr LP1. I've also seen a FWB P30 and P34 go for $800. I would pick up a 65 if the pistol has new seals and the price is between $350-$500.

The FWB line of side cockers. Meaning the 65,80 and 90 are precise, well made accurate pistols. If you do not want to deal with compressed air or CO2. I have one of each. I love shooting them. They are more accurate than I am. The only part I don't like is. Cocking them 60 in a match becomes a little redundant!!! The MK2 models are the ones to look for. The barrel is shorter and they aim a lot easier.

Condition is everything. $650 seems like the top of the mark. For that amount, I'd want to have had it re-sealed within the last few months and have it come with the box and all the accessories. Also it would have to be near new condition cosmetically. I have a 65 and it is an accurate and reliable pistol. The trigger is sweet. My main air pistol is a Morini 162EI, but I wouldn't hesitate to use the FWB at a local match, if my Morini were down for repair. The FWB does not seem to be as forgiving of poor fundamentals, i.e. follow-through.

That is why they are excellent for beginners to achieve good follow through, then they can move along to the more advanced pistols. Believe it or not, out of all the airgun powerplants, the fastest "lock-time" belongs to: 1.) the SSP's, 2.) PCP's, 3.) CO2 4.) spring-piston
