LP400 Adjustments

Post by Europa »

Haven't changed any of these from the original factory settings. After checking the grub screws, I noticed that B was loose. Is this normal? A and C are tight however.

Screw A - locks the Damper into the frame, should be tight (firm).
Screw B - is used to adjust the air bleed rate of the absorber chamber
Screw C - two screws (left and right) lock and hold the striker adjustment and end plate, also tight (firm).

Screw B should be loose as it alters the size of the bleed hole (just like a needle valve),
this changes the travel speed and hence feel of the absorber.
If you screw it all the way in, then the absorber will not work (pneumatic lock).
